Edward Hopper and Neil Young – da sehe ich Verbindungen, und vor allem Bilder; powderfingerdecision_remix/hopper ist so eines, und hier ist noch eines: motelcrossroads_1, ausgelöst vom grandiosen"Ramada Inn".
Fragte mich jemand nach einer näheren Erklärung für diese Verbindungen, würde ich wohl auf die bei beiden zu spürende Einsamkeit, aber auch Bodenständigkeit und wohl auch dosierte Sentimentalität verweisen. Gut, daß niemand fragt...

If someone asked me for a more detailed explanation of these connections, I would probably point to the loneliness felt in both of them, but also down-to-earthiness and probably also measured sentimentality. Good thing no one asks...
